Core Policy

*What is a Core?*

The core is the old unit that is to be replaced with the new or rebuilt item being purchased.

*Most commonly associated with a core charge are parts such as turbochargers, injectors, injection pumps, and high pressure oil pumps needing a replacement part.

*You must return the old core to receive a refund on the core charge. All cores must be exactly the same as the new product shipped and include all parts and pieces that were received on your new replacement product. They must also be returned in the proper manufacturer’s box.

*All cores must be in a condition capable of being rebuilt to receive a refund of the initial core charge (Any cores with fire/heat damage, water damage, or broken/unusable in any way will not be accepted.)

*Core Policy*

Any customer purchasing a product with a core will be charged in full for the core upon purchase of the new product subject to full or partial refund when the core is returned undamaged to South Central Diesel, Inc. (See timeline below)

*PayPal & All Other Credit Card Orders:*

All non-credit card orders, take PayPal for example, will require that we have a credit card number on file when orders with a core value are placed. The on file credit card will be charged and then refunded when we receive the proper core undamaged. If you do decide to complete your order with one of these methods a South Central Diesel, Inc. representative will be in contact with you to obtain a credit card strictly for this purpose. *Core Physical Condition:*

Here are some examples as to why you would not receive any or just a partial payment on your core.

*If the core were to come back with any Fire/Heat Damage

*If we were to receive the core with any damage caused by Water
*If we were to receive the core broken/dismantled in ANY way
*If we receive the core disassembled/torn apart
*If the core we receive comes back not complete/missing any pieces

The refund amount is not determined by South Central Diesel, Inc., but by the manufacturer receiving the core. In the event you will not receive a full refund of your returned core, you will be contacted directly by South Central Diesel, Inc.

*Core Charge Timeline:*

*The credit card that we have on file will be charged upon purchase for the amount of the core (amount will vary depending on the part, and will appear on the invoice).

*If the core is returned after 30 days, a refund of the core charge minus 15% will be received by the customer.

*If the core is returned after 60 day, a refund of the core charge minus 30% will be received by the customer.

*If the core is returned after 90 days, a refund of the core charge minus 50% will be received by the customer.

*Core Return Procedure*

*You Will Need*

1. All packaging of your new item to be used in the core return process including the correct manufacturer’s box.

2. To drain all fluids: oil, fuel, etc. out of the core before it is returned.

3. To place any plastic plugs or caps received on the new item back onto the core.

4. To put inside and wrap in plastic garbage bag, insuring UPS will not reject the package due to fuel or oil leakage.

5. To then place the core inside the box.

6. Complete fully and return with the core any core return paperwork found inside of the box.

*South Central Diesel, Inc. provides a pre-paid shipping label for the core return usually being sent to the billing address provided within 2-4 business days of processed purchase via US Postal Service.

*Customers outside the continental US 48 continental states (Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii) will be responsible for shipping the core back. UPS return service labels can only be sent to customers in the continental 48 US states. Please feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have at 1-(800)-228-8482

If you are responsible for shipping the core back to South Central Diesel, Inc., please provide a tracking number to scdinc6@qwestoffice.net. Without a confirmed tracking number, we cannot guarantee your core refund.

*If for any reason, you decide to return the new pump, DO NOT use the return label provided as it will then be processed as a core. Please reference the Return Procedure or contact the South Central Diesel, Inc. Returns Dept. at 1-(800)-228-8482.
